Mr Jones Afriyie-Anto is a professional Nurse and a Lawyer. He is currently the Chairman of the Ashanti Regional branch of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association having previously served as the Regional Public Relations Officer and First Vice Chairman.
He holds a Professional Law Certificate from the Ghana School of Law, Master of Laws in Laws in Labour Law and Practice from the University of Ghana, Master of Science Degree in Advanced Nursing Practice from the University of Cape Coast, a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the Presbyterian University and a Bachelor of Public Health from the Catholic University, Sunyani.
He also holds a Diploma in Nursing from the Kumasi Nurses Training College and an Advanced Diploma in Nurse Anaesthesia from the Nurse Anaesthetists Training School, Kumasi.
He is also an old student of Mim Secondary School in the Ahafo Region of Ghana.
He served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association Fund from the year 2012 to 2020.
He is a Foundation Fellow of the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives and a Certified Pensions Trustee licensed by the National Pensions Regulatory Agency.
He is a former two-termed Assembly Member for the Fawohoyeden Electoral Area in the Asunafo North Municipal Assembly and a three-termed former Presiding Member for the Asunafo North Municipal Assembly in the Ahafo Region of Ghana.
He has a couple of awards for his contribution towards his profession and the community.
